The Nidderdale Messiah is a once-a-year treat for singers to come together to perform Handel’s amazing music and raise money for a local charity. This year, we are very proud that the Messiah committee have chosen the Nidd Plus Befriending project as their chosen charity!
The event takes place on the afternoon of Sunday 24th November at Holy Trinity Church in Knaresborough. Hundreds of singers from all over the district come together to perform the Messiah, alongside up-and-coming young professional soloists.
You can book your place here. You can come to sing the Messiah, or as a member of the audience. Food is also served to sustain singers throughout the afternoon! The rehearsal starts at 1pm and the performance is at 4pm, with a finishing time of 6pm. If you do not have your own Messiah score, you can hire one for £5.
Nidd Plus will be supporting the event with volunteers and we hope that as many local people as possible can come along to enjoy the Messiah (as a singer or a spectator) and raise money for a great cause . For more info, go to: https://www.nidderdalemessiah.org.uk/
