Nidderdale Charity Shop

At our charity shop, we welcome donations of saleable second-hand goods, though please phone ahead on 07706 358902 to see if items can be dropped off as we sometimes have too much stuff!

Opening times are 10 am to 4 pm Monday to Saturday.

All goods donated to the charity shop benefit our local community in one of two ways:

1. To provide a grant fund each year – The Nidderdale Plus Community Fund – to which Nidderdale and Washburn Valley charities, groups and other not-for-profit organisations can apply to fund revenue activities and capital projects that are needed in their community.
2.  To help fund our charitable activities such as : Community Transport; Meals on Wheels; Minibus days Out; Digital Champions; and our Befriending project.

A wonderful team of local volunteers runs the shop for the benefit of the larger Nidderdale community, sorting donations into saleable goods, creating window displays, manning the till and serving customers, and responsibly recycling (where possible) goods that cannot be sold. 

We are always seeking new volunteers to do a morning or afternoon session weekly: 10 am-1 pm, or 1 pm-4 pm

We encourage everyone who is a UK taxpayer to sign up for Gift Aid for all their donations—forms are available at the shop. Gift Aid is a tax relief allowing UK charities to reclaim an extra 25% in tax on every eligible donation made by a UK taxpayer.
