In our very rural area of Nidderdale, transport remains a significant barrier to getting to health appointments for those with no access to transport. Use the click box below to watch the short film.

Nidderdale Community Transport is a partnership with North Yorkshire Council, who have provided Nidderdale Plus with a Community Car, for use by residents who have no access to public or private transport, may live in a rurally isolated location and require door-to-door assistance with local transport needs.
Volunteer drivers have been MIDAS-trained and undergone disclosure and barring checks and are available for pre-booked journeys. Contact us on 01423 714953 and tell us your travel needs – we will try to find a volunteer driver for you, and will advise on fares (according to mileage). We offer concessionary fares and want to ensure that this remains a sustainable but affordable local service.
If you have restricted mobility and need to use a wheelchair, your journey can be accommodated in our community minibus, which has a ramp and locking system for one wheelchair. When you call to book your journey, do let us know if you need the minibus rather than the car. Dial-a-ride charges are the same for the minibus as for the car.

45p per mile & £1 booking fee
Booking your journey over the phone in advance of your journey is essential. Call 01423 714953.
All users of the service need to complete a registration form, as the service is run under a Section 19 Permit. We will provide you with a form to complete when you book your first journey with us.
Payment can be made by card over the phone in advance of your journey, or in cash on the day of your journey.
