Volunteering
We always welcome new volunteers as most of our services are delivered by volunteers giving up their time to help their community.
Nidderdale Plus couldn’t deliver its vast range of services without our volunteers. They play a huge part in everything we do, and volunteers past and present tell us volunteering at Nidderdale Plus can be an incredibly rewarding and valuable experience.
Volunteer opportunities include: Community Transport drivers (community car and minibus); Digital Champions; Meals on Wheels delivery drivers; Prescription delivery drivers and Befrienders. Volunteers also work in our Community Library, which is supported by North Yorkshire Council and the Nidderdale Charity Shop in Pateley Bridge.
We always welcome new people to join our fantastic team of volunteers. Full training is always provided, together with Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks and MiDAS training where appropriate.

Community Car and Minibus Volunteer Drivers
We are fortunate to have a community car which is provided by North Yorkshire Council.
Please contact us if you think you may be interested in becoming one of our volunteer drivers. Some of our drivers like to offer a regular ‘slot’ for their volunteer driving available. Other drivers like complete flexibility where they can decide which passenger runs they wish to ‘accept’ and how regular they would like to drive for us. All volunteer drivers must receive initial training delivered in a friendly workshop session. Drivers must also be DBS checked (at no cost to the volunteer driver).

Nidderdale Plus Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees usually meet every other month. The Board are always on the look out for new trustees to add to the wealth of experience and skills. At present, the trustees would particularly be interested to hear from those with legal, IT, marketing and HR experience. However, all enquiries are most welcome, so please get in touch to find out more.
