We are pleased to be holding the second Nidderdale Health & Wellbeing Fair at the Memorial Hall in Pateley Bridge on Saturday 5th October, from 10 am – 1pm.
It is a great chance for local people to find out about what services there are in Nidderdale that can promote people’s wellbeing. There are several taster sessions on the day, including: a session that MIND is running with mindfulness activities; a taster session for Dancing for Wellbeing; a taster Reiki session; and a session that we are holding to give you more information about Digital Switchover and what that means for you. We will publish the schedule of events on our website and have it available in hard copy at the Hub and in our Charity Shop on Pateley Bridge High Street on the Monday before the event.
With the growth in the ageing population and pressures on the NHS, there is now a greater emphasis on people staying well in their own communities, to both increase the quality of their lives and decrease the call on NHS services. All the groups, charities and organisations there on 5th October can greatly assist with wellbeing here in our local area.
Here is a sneak preview of some of the 25+ organisations who will be there on the day:
Yorkshire Cancer Community
Vision Support
Alcoholics Anonymous
Make it Wild (Summerbridge)
Whitewoods Therapy
Do drop by on the day. Entry is free and there will be a cafe serving home-made cakes and hot drinks. We hope to see you there!
