Every November, participating solicitors volunteer their time and waive their fee for writing a basic Will. Instead, they invite clients to make a voluntary donation to Will Aid – we suggest £100 for a single basic Will and £180 for a pair of basic ‘mirror’ Wills.
With Will Aid, everyone benefits. Clients get peace of mind, thanks to a professionally drawn up will, and the satisfaction of helping some great causes. Will Aid is a special partnership between the legal profession and nine of the UK’s best-loved charities. Click here to find out which charities the Will Aid scheme supports.
Having a professionally drafted Will is the best way to ensure your loved ones are provided for after your death. It also avoids the stress of coping with any legal complications for your family. Although it is possible to write a Will by yourself, it is highly advisable to use a solicitor to make sure that your Will is valid and that it properly reflects your wishes.
