Northern Powergrid now has an online power cut map. It is the quickest way to report a power cut and find out what they are doing to get your lights back on.
You can also report it on Facebook, X, and WhatsApp on 0191 687 2254.
If you have no mobile access, the team is available 24/7 by calling 105 – the national three-digit number to report a power cut or electricity emergency. Reporting a power cut to Northern Powergrid will help to locate where the problem is much quicker, so please do let them know, using any of the channels above, if you have an issue with your electricity supply.
