Local residents may be interested in giving their views on the proposed North Yorkshire Council boundary changes which are currently out for consultation from the Local Government Boundary Commission.
The new proposal, which involves 25 divisions in central and western North Yorkshire can be found at www.lgbce.org.uk. It includes the existing Pateley Bridge and Nidderdale division, which in this proposal will be divided into two, with Upper Nidderdale, Pateley Bridge and Bewerley being subsumed into Wharfedale, and Dacre, Darley and Menwith and Thruscross combining into a lower Nidderdale division. In this way, the proposal would cut Nidderdale into two for administrative purposes.
From 2nd September to 13 October the Commission are accepting comments from the public on the revised draft recommendations. Have your say here.
