There is a lot of uncertainty around at the moment about when schools will reopen, but school places for the next academic year have recently been notified, and families will be thinking of September, if their children are starting primary or secondary school this year.
So school readiness is back on the agenda and the two websites below offer resources to parents who are dealing with their children and their education at home at this difficult time during lockdown.
We hope you will find something of use in the two websites below to help with both home learning and school readiness at this time.
The National Literacy Trust has dedicated their site to Learning at Home. In the Family Zone area choose an age group to find relevant resources: https://literacytrust.org.uk/
The Reading Agency is the organisation which brings the Summer Reading Challenge to libraries, amongst other things. Their Hub is being refreshed regularly, so there’s always something new available: https://readingagency.org.uk/
