It has been a long wait, so we are thrilled that our community minibus is now here! Our first weekly market-day service to Ripon completed its inaugural journey on Thursday 23rd June, and it was great to finally be able to transport local people to a place which is difficult to get to if you don’t have a car.
The service will continue weekly and we are hoping to vary destinations between Ripon and Skipton initially until we get a better idea of which services people want. Please call us on 01423 714953 for more info or to book. Return ticket price to Ripon is £8.00 and you can pay in advance over the phone by card payment, or at the hub by cash or card.
The next trip goes on Thursday 7th July and leaves at 11.15am from the hub. It returns from Ripon at 2.30 pm , giving you plenty of time for shopping–and maybe lunch!
All users of the minibus need to register to be members of the minibus transport scheme. and you can pick up a form from the hub and fill in whilst you are here.
Day trips
We shall be offering day trips in due course. We have a paper survey at the hub and charity shop which you can pick up and fill in to give us a better idea of the places you would like to visit on a day trip. Popular suggestions so far have been: Whitby, Salts Mill and he Halifax Piece Hall.
Group hire
The minibus is also available for group hire by not-for-profit groups. Please call us if your group or organisation needs transport for a few hours, a day or maybe a week! 01423 714953.
