We host a variety of events here at the community hub.  Keep coming back to this page to find out what we have coming up.  All events are free to attend.  Booking is sometimes required, please check each listing for details.

Weekly Events

Childrens Story Time

A free reading session for little ones is held in the library every Wednesday, hosted by one of our lovely volunteers, with fun, colourful floor cushions for children to sit and listen on. 

Pop into the library at 10.30 am with your child/children to join the fun for this half hour session.

HALLOWEEN STORY TIME SPECIAL EVENT!

Bring your 3-7 year olds to an interactive Storysack Workshop, themed around the book Winnie the Witch.  Children can bring their own props (eg wooden pegs, spoons, feathers, etc) to share and use, or use those provided at this fun and interactive workshop to help tell the wonderful story of Winnie the Witch.  Parents welcome too!  Please book a place by calling 01423 714953.

MIND Drop-in Session

Lego Club for Young People

During term time, our Lego Club runs from 3.45pm-4.30pm and is for young people aged between 5-14 years old.  This is a self-guided activity with support from adults, all of whom are DBS-checked.  Children under 8 years old need to have a parent or carer with them.  All Lego is provided, so come along and have some fun building with Lego and meeting other young people who are mad about Lego!

NIDDERDALE HEALTH & WELLBEING FAIR

Memorial Hall, Pateley Bridge, 12th October, 10am-12noon

The first event of its type to be held in Nidderdale, and organised by Nidderdale Plus, this is an opportunity for residents for find out more about: local health services, local charities offering support, and clubs and groups that help to promote wellbeing.  Do pop along on the morning–entry is free and refreshments will be available.

VIRTUAL REALITY TASTER EVENT

Everybody aged 13+ is invited to come along and try living in the world of Virtual Reality (VR)!  Using “Oculus Go” headsets, you can see the world in 3D and imagine how technology can be used to visit new places and develop new opportunities. Please book a place to avoid disappointment. You can also learn more about coding and digital skills as part of this event.
