We host a variety of events here at the community hub. Keep coming back to this page to find out what we have coming up. All events are free to attend and booking is not required. Just turn up.
Childrens Story Time
A free reading session for little ones is held in the library every Wednesday, hosted by one of our lovely volunteers, with fun, colourful floor cushions for children to sit and listen on.
Pop into the library at 10.30 am with your child/children to join the fun for this half hour session.

MIND Drop-in Session

Lego Club for Young People
During term time, our Lego Club runs from 3.45pm-4.30pm and is for young people aged between 5-14 years old. This is a self-guided activity with support from adults, all of whom are DBS-checked. Children under 8 years old need to have a parent or carer with them. All Lego is provided, so come along and have some fun building with Lego and meeting other young people who are mad about Lego!

Summer Reading Challenge 13 July – 7 September
This year the Summer Reading Challenge runs from 13 July – 7 September, and has the theme on “Space Chase” in commemoration of the Lunar Landing 50 years ago. The Challenge is open to primary-aged children, and this year for the first time to pre-schoolers, so do pop along to Nidd Plus and sign up from 13 July onwards! Lots of stickers, a certificate and medal if a child reads 6 books.
REGISTRATION FOR THE CHALLENGE ENDS ON 17TH AUGUST! SO PLEASE POP DOWN TO NIDD PLUS BEFORE THEN TO MAKE SURE YOU CAN COMPLETE THE CHALLENGE AND RECEIVE SOME GREAT PRIZES AND A MEDAL!
NIDDERDALE HEALTH & WELLBEING FAIR
Memorial Hall, Pateley Bridge, 12th October, 10am-12noon
The first event of its type to be held in Nidderdale, and organised by Nidderdale Plus, this is an opportunity for residents for find out more about: local health services, local charities offering support, and clubs and groups that help to promote wellbeing. Do pop along on the morning–entry is free and refreshments will be available.
